Civil society
refers to the space which lies between the state and
private sectors and represent un-coerced collective
action around common interests, purposes and values.
Civil society comprises a diversity of spaces,
actors and institutions varying in their degree of
formality, autonomy and power. Civil society is
valued for its civilian nature and its role in
strengthening peace and stability.

- To establish a library, focusing on civic education materials, methodologies and curricula
- To create a platform for civil society organizations working in the field of civic education delivery
- To establish an online database of civic education related organizations/institutions, material and discussion forum to facilitate easy and efficient access

To boost democracy, enhance civic and public participation in the political processes in Afghanistan.

| Works done yet: |
- We successfully sat up the resource centre
- The books we received are homed and arranged that every one can easily use it
- Working committees have been successful formed
- Teams to facilitate committee activities are also formed
- A curriculum for afghan constitution is in finalization stage
- ACSF has established new contact with Civil society entities
- Discussion forum has been developed and downloaded in the ACSF's website
